Our farm…

Situated on the north end of her family’s 200 year old farm, Ruth and Brian Bloesl re-established a native prairie with grasses and flowers. Seasonal perennials, annuals, grasses, ornamental woody stems, and evergreens are surrounding the Pulaski farm. Over 20 years have been spent cultivating an extended growing season of zone 4a/4b perennials and annuals. The gardens support over 100 types of flowers in a range of colors and species. Evergreens, fruit orchards, and ornamental deciduous trees encompass the 20 acre property.

We are a family of three: Brian, Ruth and Samuel. We love to travel both internationally and within the states. We raise labrador retrievers, sell eggs from our delightful β€œladies” and share our produce with friends and family. We have multiple military family members, including Ruth’s dad, Jack, a WWII veteran, who have selflessly served our country. Respect, honor and integrity are the cores of their values which we can only hope to emulate.

β€œJOY comes in the morning” Psalm 30:5

Amy Wentworth Shaw was a dear friend who battled breast cancer for four years with JOY in her heart while always finding the most optimistic opportunities to share her JOY. During our years of friendship, she continued to support and encourage the creation of a floral farm and small community florist. After her death in September of 2023, The Polish Poppy was launched in her honor. Amy lived by Psalm 30:5 β€œWeeping may endure for a night but JOY cometh in the morning.” Amy’s veteran support was undeniable; The Polish Poppy would like to commend their service offering a 10% discount for all orders.

We use repurposed brown grocery bags for our unique rustic logo tags. Branches replace any plastic tag holders. Community members supporting our farm have donated recycled jars and reclaimed thrift vases allowing us to keep our environment cleaner; all while maintaining affordable flowers to bring JOY to beautify your home.

β€œJust living is not enough. One must have sunshine, freedom, and a little flower.”
